POMONA — A county truck and belly-dump trailer rolled onto its side Tuesday morning when the trailer’s wheels hit a wet and soft spot of the shoulder in the 500 block of Kingman Road southwest of Pomona and the trailer went off the road, taking the truck with it. The truck and trailer ended on the passenger side. The driver, Guy Ellis, 74, Ottawa, wasn’t injured. But he was left dangling in his seat belt and he had to disconnect it and drag himself up through the driver’s window, county public works Jim Haag told county commissioners at their meeting this morning. “He’s sore,” Haag said. The truck and trailer received some damage, which was reported to the county’s insurance company, he said.
