OTTAWA — A sex crimes investigation by detectives from three counties has resulted in a 18-year-old from Paola being booked into the Franklin County jail. Sam Raybern was booked into the jail on suspicion of rape and sexual exploitation of a child. The investigation by Ottawa and Osawatomie police and the Douglas County Sheriff’s office involved several people, Ottawa police Capt. Adam Weingartner said. Raybern is a suspect in sex crimes involving two minors between 2013 and 2014. The investigation continues, he said.
