MOUND CITY — 911 emergency dispatch service is out in parts of Linn County. Century Link said the outage affects both land lines and cell phones outside of Mound City. People in the affected area received text messages this morning announcing the outage, Linn County assistant emergency management director Dee Hortorr said. Emergency calls should be made to the Linn County emergency management office at (913) 352-8125. He said he doesn’t know how long the outage will last. Century Link says it’s working on the problem as quickly as possible.
