OTTAWA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s office received reports of vandalism this weekend. The sheriff’s office received a report that mailboxes were thrown through two windows of the closed cafe at 2456 Rock Creek Rd. just southwest of Ottawa. The damage was estimated at $2,000. A 29-year-old Ottawa man reported a broken window at Camp Chippewa, 2573 Idaho Rd. Damage was estimated at $250. A 49-year-old Pomona man reported damage to his yard in the 1000 block of K-68 just east of Pomona as a result of someone pulling donuts in the yard with a vehicle. After further investigation by deputies, Gyula Demeter, 57, Pomona, was booked into the Franklin County jail on suspicion of reckless driving and DUI.
