LINN VALLEY — Three people were injured late Saturday night when a car being chased by LaCygne police crashed in Miami County. LaCygne police were in pursuit of a 2007 Honda accord, which couldn’t make the curve at 407th and Somerset west of Linn Valley, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. The car went off the road and rolled over. The driver fled the scene of the accident on foot, the highway patrol said. Officers hadn’t immediately identified the driver. However, three passengers in the car were injured and were taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. They were Samantha Davis, 26; Hayleigh Spears, 5; and Hunter Spears, 4; all of Harrisonville, Mo. The woman wasn’t wearing a seat belt but the children were in safety restraints, the highway patrol said.
