KANSAS CITY — An Ottawa man was indicted Wednesday in federal district court on a charge of making an interstate phone call threatening a Kansas City, Mo., lawyer. Rick Draskovich, 52, was charged with one count of making a threat, U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom said. The indictment alleges that on Aug. 31, Draskovich made a phone call in which he threatened to go to the lawyer’s law firm and bash his head in. In the call, Draskovich suggested the lawyer could get a restraining order but it wouldn’t help him because the time he understood what was happening, his head would be bashed in, Grissom said. If convicted, Draskovich faces a maximum penalty of five years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
