OTTAWA — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department received at least two reports of mailbox vandalism Friday. A 67-year-old Ottawa man reported vandals used some type of explosive or firework to blow up his mailbox in the 2900 block of Nevada Terrace east of Ottawa. A 50-year-old Ottawa man reported he discovered his mailbox lying in the road in the 2700 block of Montana Road southeast of Ottawa. The sheriff’s office said that mailbox had also been blown up by an unknown type of explosive or firework.
