FONTANA — A 60-year-old Mapleton woman was killed in motorcycle accident west of Fontana Sunday morning. Brenda Boehm was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on 391st Street when she braked to avoid an oncoming vehicle turning north on to Lone Star Road from 391st Street, Miami County Sheriff’s Captain. Mike Talcott said. She didn’t hit the oncoming vehicle, but she lost control of the motorcycle and came off the cycle and hit the pavement, Talcott said. Boehm suffered head trauma and died at the scene, Talcott said. She was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The accident remains under investigation by the Miami County Sheriff’s office.
