OTTAWA — The Christmas Bureau is accepting applications for assistance until Nov. 30. The Christmas Bureau is a program designed to help low-income families during the Christmas holiday by providing toys for children and food for individuals and families. Those wishing to apply must do so at ECKAN’s Franklin County Community Center at the ORC Don Woodward Center, 517 E. 3rd St., or call 785-242-7515. Verification of household income is required. The Christmas Bureau an annual project of the non-profit East Central Kansas Economic Opportunity Corporation.
