OSAGE CITY — A man was killed Saturday afternoon as a result as a skydiving accident at Osage City Airport. Skydive Kansas’ Jen Sharp said the man was an experienced skydiver who collided with another skydiver during a jump. The mid-air collision occurred shortly after the two opened their parachutes, she said. Their chutes became entangled. The other jumper was able to cut away, open his reserve chute and land safely. The man who died wasn’t immediately identified. The Kansas Highway Patrol and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating.
