WELDA – U.S. 169 south of Garnett was closed several hours this morning because of a truck accident. According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s office, a semi-truck flipped over on its side on the highway about four miles south of Welda. No injuries were reported but the highway was blocked by the truck and most traffic had to be detoured. The debris from the truck, which was hauling groceries, was still being cleaned up this afternoon.
