OTTAWA — A chain-reaction accident on U.S. 59 two-and-a-half miles south of Ottawa sent three people to the hospital Saturday afternoon. Corey Brenner, 47, Lawrence; and Caleb Clinkenbeard, 35, Topeka; were sitting on U.S. 59 waiting to make a left-hand just north of Jackson Road, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. A car driven by 24-year-old Alisha Dunn, 24, Ottawa; ran into Clinkenbeard’s pickup truck which bounced into the rear of Brenner’s pickup truck, the highway patrol said. Dunn, Clinkenbeard, and a passenger in his truck, Krsandra Hastings, 24, Carbondale; were taken to Ransom Memorial Hospital. Brenner wasn’t injured. They were all wearing seat belts.
