GARNETT — A 39-year-old Waverly man was killed when his truck overturned five miles west of Garnett Thursday afternoon. Chad Collins was driving a truck-mounted grain grinder west on 1600 Road a half-mile west Kentucky Road in central Anderson County when the truck went into the north ditch, came back out of the ditch went across the road, and overturned and came to rest in the south ditch, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. He was dead at the scene and an autopsy was scheduled. The highway patrol said he was wearing a seat belt.
