TOPEKA — Franklin County can expect some rough weather as a giant winter storm system moves through the region this weekend. Depending on temperatures, this area could get ice and nearly eight inches of snow, or 2-4 inches of rain and flooding, the National Weather Service office in Topeka said. Although there will be some moisture through the holiday period, the heaviest storms will hit at the end of the weekend and on Monday, forecaster Jeff Johnson said.
