OTTAWA — Ottawa City Commissioner Linda Reed has been named to the National League of Cities’ Community and Economic Development Committee. The committee develops the NLC’s federal policy positions on issues involving housing, community and economic development, land use, recreation and parks, historic preservation and international competitiveness. “I believe it’s important for Ottawa to have representation at the federal level, as so many decisions made at that level directly impact our own community,” Reed said. “If we are to have a say in those decisions, we must be involved and speak up for our community and city.”
