OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie Police Chief Bob Butters has submitted his resignation, city manager Don Cawby announced Thursday. Butters said he is stepping down for personal reasons, as well as for the best interests of his family. Deputy chief Dave Ellis will be interim police chief and public safety director.
