SPRING HILL — Five people were injured Monday night in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 169 in Spring Hill. Randy Selders, 67, Griswold, Iowa, who was pulling a trailer with a car on it, and William Kennedy, 80, Osawatomie, were both driving north on U.S. 169 when Selders slowed at the intersection of 199th Street when Kennedy’s truck rear-ended him, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Selders was injured and taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, as were three of his passengers, Shayne Austin, 40; Sandra Merk, 64; and Mark Whaley, 26, all of Griswold. Kennedy was also injured and taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center. They were all wearing seat belts.
