TOPEKA — A tornado drill as part of Kansas Severe Weather Awareness Week this week, is scheduled for tonight at 6:30. The National Weather Service said it requested this year’s drill to be at 6:30 p.m. rather than the usual afternoon time because more people are at home and it’s a time when many storms occur. The backup date is Thursday at the same time.
