OTTAWA — A 22-year-old Ottawa man was booked into the Franklin County jail following a high-speed chase. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Ottawa police pulled over Phillip Guyle, Jr., for a traffic violation. Guyle took off and fled from officers, often at speeds in excess of 80 miles an hour and by driving into ditches and fields. He was stopped on K-68 west of Pomona. He was driving a stolen vehicle, the sheriff’s office said. He was later booked for another incident at the jail. Guyle was booked for battery on a corrections officer after the sheriff’s office said he grabbed a corrections officer while refusing to allow meal trays and shaving razors to be collected.
