OTTAWA — Arraignment for 20-year-old Jordan Reed has been set for June 6 in Franklin County District Court. At the hearing, he’ll be asked to make a plea to a charge of involuntary manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident in connection with the death of 19-year-old Ottawa University student and football player, Sam Brazeal. Reed is accused of driving a full-size pickup truck along the Flint Hills Nature Trail and going off a pedestrian bridge about two miles southeast of Ottawa last November. The truck fell 20 feet into a dry creek bed, killing Brazeal.
