OTTAWA — The holiday weekend has been a busy one for unsuccessful truck thieves. A 54-year-old Williamsburg man reported early Saturday morning to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department that his 1999 Ford F-250 pickup was stolen from his home near Williamsburg. The pickup was later spotted on U.S. 75 near Carbondale and but involved in a police pursuit. Edward Hunter, 50, Ppomona was hauled back to Franklin County where he was booked into the jail for suspicion of felony theft, possession of stolen property, burglary, felony fleeing and eluding, possession of marijuana and driving while suspended. A 27-year-old Ottawa man reported to Ottawa police that his 2011 GMC 3500 pickup was stolen from the 100 block of West Tecumseh late Saturday night. Aaron Stevenson, 35, Ottawa was being held in Missouri in connection with the theft.
