GARDNER — Gardner-Edgerton High School graduate Cassie Wait has been invited to try out for the U.S. Women’s national volleyball team. The Kansas University volleyball star will try out for a libero roster spot June 20 in Anaheim, Calif. If successful, she’ll be on the team when the U.S. plays for the Pan American Cup in July in the Dominican Republic. She was a starter on KU’s 2015 Cinderella squad that made its first-ever appearance in the NCAA Final Four.
