OTTAWA — Lightning hit a house east of Ottawa early Wednesday morning, causing fire that damaged the house. Ottawa firefighters got on the scene in the 3200 block of K-68 across from the Wal-Mart Distribution Center and began putting out the visible fire, Ottawa Fire Chief Tim Mathias said. Firefighters had to cut a patio deck off of the back of the house to get to the rest of the fire, he said. Firefighters from Lincoln-Ottawa-Harrison Township Fire Department arrived and took over.
