LaCYGNE — The girls’ head basketball coach at Prairie View High School has been booked into the Linn County jail on suspicion of unlawful sexual relations. Coach and English teacher Keaton Krell, 31, was arrested on the last day of school Thursday, Sheriff Paul Filla said. Fila said his office notified the school of the situation, and school officials removed Krell from the classroom to the principal’s office, so that students didn’t see the arrest. Under state law, unlawful sexual relations refers to the victim being at least 16 years old and under 18 and the suspect having some kind of position of authority when the incident is alleged to have occurred. It wasn’t immediately known if one or several students were involved.
