OTTAWA — Former county commissioner David Hood seeks to regain his 2nd District commission seat. He filed for the Franklin County Commission Tuesday, setting up a Republican primary battle with present commissioner Roy Dunn. Dunn won the GOP primary four years ago against Hood, who won the primary eight years ago over Dunn. As of Tuesday, no Democrats had filed in the district. The district covers part of Ottawa and northwestern Franklin County. As of Tuesday, the 2nd district race was the only contested race among county positions. The deadline to file was at noon today.
