OTTAWA — A high-speed tour of rural Franklin County came to a quick end in Osage County for a pair of men this morning.  A Franklin County deputy tried to pull over a man, who had another passenger, to ask about stolen property, when the deputy noticed a pistol in the car.  That’s when the driver took off along Kentucky Road from Labette Road southwest of Ottawa.  With deputies in pursuit, the man drove of speeds of up to 80 miles an hour over rural roads in southwestern Franklin County.  Deputies lost the two in Williamsburg.  However, a state trooper and Osage County deputies pulled over the car west of Quenemo.  Franklin County deputies went to pick the two up.
