SIOUX FALL, S.D. — The Rev. Dr. Roger Fredrikson has died at the age of 95 in Sioux Falls, S.D. A long-time baptist minister, he was senior pastor at the First Baptist Church in Ottawa, and Baptist churches in Sioux Falls and Wichita. He was president of the American Baptist Churches USAa in the early ’70s. He was a graduate of Ottawa University and was long associated with OU. Fredrickson Chapel is named after him and his wife, the late Ruth Beaver Fredrickson. A memorial service will be Friday afternoon in Sioux Falls. Memorials may be given in his name to the First Baptist churches of Sioux Falls or Ottawa; the University of Sioux Falls; or Ottawa University.
