OTTAWA — A 41-year-old Baldwin City man was treated at Ransom Memorial Hospital early this morning after he was dropped off for a gunshot wound. The man, who wasn’t identified by Ottawa police, was treated for a non-life-threatening injury and released. Officers were sent to the hospital at 2:27 a.m., and the detective unit is investigating, Ottawa Police Chief Dennis Butler said. However, no suspects have been identified, nor has the location of the shooting been established, Butler said. So far, there’s little information that would help the investigation, he said. He asks that anyone with information about this shooting to call the Ottawa Police Department at 242-2561 or Franklin County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-311-TIPS (8477).
