CARBONDALE — Two people have been identified who were found dead Friday in a home at 636 W. North in Carbondale. Gregory Bayless, 54, Topeka; and Troy Adkins, 51, of Topeka; were using gasoline-powered generators while renovating the house, Osage County Sheriff Laurie Dunn said. The house had no electricity. “At this time, it appears that Adkins and Bayless may have died from accidental carbon monoxide poisoning,” Dunn said. Autopsies have been ordered. Final autopsy results may not be known for eight weeks, she said.
