OTTAWA — A man who held off police and deputies in a six-hour standoff at 7th and Walnut in Ottawa two weeks ago will be in district court Aug. 31. Christopher Fawl has been charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and interference with law enforcement officers in connection with the incident. The Franklin County Sheriff’s office said Fawl dragged a deputy 10 to 15 feet after he tried to stop Fawl’s vehicle during the stop. Fawl is free on $25,000 bond.
