OTTAWA — An Ottawa man charged with multiple sex crimes involving girls under the age of 14 will be sentenced in Franklin County District Court Aug. 22. Derek Joseph Fletcher was arrested last October. He was charged with 14 different crimes ranging from rape, aggravated sodomy, sexual exploitation and aggravated indecent liberties with a child, one count of aggravated sodomy. Under a plea deal, Fletcher pleaded guilty to half of the charges. He remains in jail is on a half-million dollar bond.
