PAOLA — A 20-year-old Paola man was killed in a one-car crash southwest of Louisburg Monday. Cooper Ventress was driving east on 311th Street between Beaver Creek and Pflumm roads when his 2016 Ford Mustang went onto the south shoulder, off the road into a field and landed in a creek bed, Capt. Mike Talcott, Miami County Sheriff’s office, said. Ventress was found dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Miami County and Johnson County sheriff’s offices, Talcott said.
