OTTAWA — An expansion that would double the size of Ransom Memorial Hospital’s emergency department has cleared one of the last legal hurdles. The Ottawa Planning Commission approved the final site plan for the expansion Wednesday. An associated project, a new parking lot built next to the hospital, should resolve long-running parking problems around the hospital, Ottawa planning director Wynndee Lee said.
