Office tours will be 10-3.  Walk-ins are welcome, but tickets for tours can be obtained through the office’s website. The open house will offer a look at the day-to-day operations at a national weather service office, how meteorologists operate during severe weather, and meet with several local TV and radio media and local and state organizations that work closely with the weather service to help promote weather preparedness and weather safety.  The open house will also include weather balloon launches every hour, presentations on weather forecasting and weather safety and interactive weather experiments.  The weather office is at Phillip Billard Airport, Topeka.
