OTTAWA — The county motor vehicle tag office is closed all day today so county maintenance staff can clean an outbreak of mold in the Franklin County Courthouse. Various offices have been closed as the mold cleanup continues. County officials say the mold outbreak was pinpointed to the courthouse’s new geothermal heating and air-conditioning system. A specialty firm has been hired to remove the rest of the mold.
