OTTAWA – The Ottawa school board decided Monday night to trim the amount of extra pay some school administrators will receive for helping supervise the school bond construction projects. The subject of extra pay for the top administrators occupied considerable time at the meeting. At issue was a proposal to pay the superintendent and assistant superintendent $25,000 per year each for their work in managing the various bond construction projects. During the public comment section, Sandy stanert said she was a spokesman for a number of people. “Many of us community members are unhappy,” Staneart said. The board voted to pay $5,000 this year each to Supt. Jeannie Stroh and assistant superintendent Ryan Cobbs for their work on the bond projects.
