OVERBROOK — Two people were injured late Friday night in a one-vehicle crash east of Overbrook during a chase. Trey Patterson, 26, Topeka; was driving west on North 175th Road about 10 miles east of Overbrook while being pursued by a state trooper when his car went off the road and hit a tree, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. He and his passenger, Amber Heidinger, 24, Scranton; were taken by ambulance to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. The highway patrol said he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt but she was. There was no word how or why the chase started.
