OTTAWA — Franklin County commissioners have failed to seal the deal with their finalist for county administrator. Commissioners ended negotiations after they and the candidate couldn’t agree on a contract, said Derek Brown, acting administrator. Commissioners will have to decide how to proceed, he said. Brown said he would offer some options later this week. In the meantime, Brown, who is county counselor, said he would continue to serve as interim administrator as long as needed.
