OTTAWA __ The Ottawa Police Department is looking for a 14-year-old runaway girl. Madison Holloway was last seen approximately 6:30 p.m. Tuesday near Ottawa High School and may have left with someone she knew, assistant police chief Adam Weingartner said. It appears that she left willingly, he said. Madison has no cell phone or money with her, he said. Madison is prescribed medication but detectives do not believe she took the medication with her, he said. Madison had made comments previously that she might head to Nebraska. She has relatives in Hays and Quenemo. Detectives with the department have interviewed Madison’s friends, searched social media sites and followed up on several leads but have not located her. Detectives believe that friends or acquaintances of Madison know where she may be headed but have not shared that information with them, Weingartner said. The department contacted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and requested assistance creating a missing person flyer and entering Madison into their database. Madison is also entered as a missing person in a national police database. “Our goal is the safe return of Madison and we will exhaust all leads and information to accomplish this goal,” Weingartner said. “Detectives believe someone knows more information than they are sharing. Please help us get her home safe as soon as possible.” Here is the link for the missing person poster for Madison: http://www.missingkids.com/poster/NCMC/1291361 Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911 or call the Ottawa Police Department at 785-242-1700.
