CARBONDALE — A 47-year-old Carbondale man was flown by helicopter to a Topeka hospital following a three-vehicle crash this morning on U.S. 75 about six miles south of Carbondale. Joshua Riggles, 22, Mayetta, was driving a semi-truck south on U.S. 75 and had stopped to turn east on 189th Road, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. However, the highway patrol said Michael Rinton didn’t see that Riggles had stopped and his pickup hit the truck and then bounced into the north-bound lane and hit a mini-van driven by Delbert Ramsey, 51, Lyndon. Finton was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital. Riggles and Ramsey weren’t injured. They were all wearing seat belts. Wednesday, March 22, 3 p.m.
