OTTAWA – “It’s a matter of going back to the past…so we can march into the future.” That sums up what is going on with the Ottawa Municipal Auditorium…soon to become Memorial Auditorium, its original name, which is in honor of World War I veterans. Auditorium director Tiffany Evans noted that the facility somehow became the municipal auditorium when it underwent a renovation and reopened in 1978. The city commission is expected to approve the name change at its regular meeting Wednesday.
