OTTAWA — The city of Ottawa has received a grant to install recycled tables and benches at Forest Park and the Ottawa teen park. The $5,550 grant through the Kansas Dept. of Health and Environment waste tire grant program, will go toward installing 12 tables and six benches at the two parks. Community development director Wynndee Lee said the tables and benches will be installed this summer. The city will provide an additional $5,722 and local volunteer labor to complete the installation. They received a similar grant in 2014 for tables and benches at Forest Park.
