OTTAWA — The Old Depot Museum’s admission rates will increase for the first in 18 years on Saturday. Admission for adults will increase $2 to $5. Admission for students will increase $1 to $2. The museum is introducing a senior citizen rate of $4. Preschoolers and franklin county historical society members will continue to be admitted for free. The increase will make it possible for the Franklin County Historical Society to continue to offer unique and educational programs which are often free, as well as occasional free admission days, historical society executive director Deborah Barker said. The museum tried to hold on to those prices for as long as possible, she said. In September, the Free Second Sundays will become Franklin County Free Days. Any resident of Franklin County can visit the Old Depot Museum free of charge on the second Sunday of each month. Second Sundays will remain free to all visitors in July and August.
