OTTAWA — The 31st annual Ol’ Marais River Run drew a record number of entrants, recording 2,123, beating last year’s record by nearly 50 vehicles. Despite the rain, throngs of people came to Forest Park to view the classic cars, according to the Over the Road Gang, Ottawa, which organizes and hosts the regionally-known show. The weather cleared enough for a good showing and stayed clear enough for Saturday’s ever-popular Cruise Night. The streets were lined with cars and the sidewalks filled with people of all ages checking out the cars parked along the street and cruising up and down Main Street all evening. Next year’s show is expected to be even better and is scheduled for Sept. 14-16.
