LECOMPTON — A 21-year-old Osage City woman was killed early Friday morning as a result of a crash in northwestern Douglas County. A deputy found a vehicle in a ditch in the 400 block of 2100 Road west Lecompton at 2 a.m. Friday, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department said. The vehicle had gone off the road and hit a tree. Carly Cornelison was taken to a Topeka hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The sheriff’s office said she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
