OTTAWA — There were two injury accidents over the weekend in rural Franklin County. The sheriff’s office reported that on Friday afternoon, Dominic Oropeza, 15, Ottawa; was going east in the 4800 block of Stafford Road when he lost control of his pickup and overturned. He was transported to Overland Park Regional hospital for his injuries. On Saturday night, Heather Valdiviez, 19, Richmond; was driving south in the 1200 block of Indiana Road when she lost control on the gravel and struck a bridge guard rail. She received medical treatment for minor injuries.
