OTTAWA — Ottawa University is hosting a state conference for gifted education through Tuesday. It features several nationally-known speakers including Dr. Linda Silverman, the director of the Gifted Child Development Center, Westminster, Col. Other speakers include: Kansas commissioner of education Randy Watson; Rene Islas, executive director of the National Association of Gifted Children; and Dr. Stuart Omdal, chairman of the department for gifted education at the University of Northern Colorado.
