CENTRAL HEIGHTS — Central Heights School will celebrate the first group of inductees the Ring of Honor Friday. The first inductees will include the school board members who had the foresight to put the newly-consolidatate district into one building between Richmond, Rantoul, Lane and Princeton, said Supt. Brian Spencer. Those are Hobart Betz, Victor Montague, George Snow, Raymond Wagner, and Ardyce Wilson. Other inductees include Bob Redeker, a teacher in the district prior to and after the consolidation; Bob Erisman, teacher and principal in the district at the time; and Leo “Bud” Laird, Jr., who as superintendent, teacher, principal and board member.
