OTTAWA — Two Ottawa men are in the Franklin county jail in connection with the rape of a 19-year-old Ottawa woman. The woman reported to police this week of the incident, which assistant police chief Adam Weingartner occurred previously. Acting on a search warrant, officers went through a house in the 100 block of West 10th Street. Two men were subsequently arrested following the search, Weingartner said. Matt Williams, 18, was booked into the jail on suspicion of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, kidnapping and aggravated battery. Alex Daniels, 18, was booked on suspicion of obstruction. The investigation continues.
