LAWRENCE — A Baldwin City man was hospitalized after he was thrown out of his SUV just south of Lawrence Tuesday morning. Carl Otto, 24, was driving north on East 1500 Road when his SUV went off the road, dropped into the ditch and went airborne, the Kansas Highway Patrol said. Otto wasn’t wearing a seat belt and he was thrown out. He was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
